My first intention is to rid you of the idea that dessert has to be traditional or boring in any way. I've taken the time to create seasonal menus full of nontraditional cake flavors and fillings that are likely to surprise and impress your guests.
On top of special occasion cakes, here you'll find completely customized dessert bar menus, limited edition pastry boxes available by preorder only, and pop-up holiday specials.
Things you'll find here: unique flavors, buttercream piping, gold leaf, fresh floral accents
Things you won't find here: fondant, character cakes, red velvet, American buttercream

Hey! I'm Amellia (friends and fam call me Mellie). I am obsessed with food and family, the wife of an airline pilot/adventure junkie named Nick, and mom to a little gal named Sadie, an Australian cattle dog named Kacey, and a rescue cat named Neptune.
I'm also a firm believer that life should be full of events that call for cake!
I've spent years working in restaurants and bakeries around Michigan alongside some incredibly talented cooks and award winning pastry chefs. I constantly strive to expand my knowledge of all things beautiful and delicious. With the help and support of my incredible family, friends, and clients, Amellia's Cakery has grown to become a very special and important part of my life. Taking part in some of the most important milestone events in your lives is my favorite part of my job.
